Oh, nonono. You can’t post something and then not want to discuss how you feel or why you feel that way. Not only is it unfair, but it’s kinda pretty rude.
But yeah, I think it would fall under the definition of words evolving and changing over the years. And to explain what I mean, breaking the word down, we get homo(which means same) and phobia(which means fear). So it’s a fear of “the same”. But this has developed to an irrational fear or dislike. Which has developed to, and this is what I generally see, if you don’t support it, you must hate it.
I personally like the second definition since the third would cover entirely too many people to count. Not to generalize, but I honestly think that there are more people out there that “tolerate” homosexuality, and they say the right things but it’s not really as genuine as we all think. But, it’s like their trying. I don’t have a problem with these people because they’re pretty harmless.
But then we have people who are raised to believe since the beginning that homosexuality is wrong. It’s not just the teachings at home but what society has taught them and what peers have pressured them to believe. Similar to how it’s practically ingrained in our minds that the hard drugs are bad.
But these people are, I suppose, nicer. These people don’t want trouble and they feel people can do what they want. However, they don’t support homosexuality. They have nothing against people personally but it’s not something they condone. But instead of making a big deal of it, they move on and continue life like whatever.
I hope I’m making sense OTL
